Lara Dutta reminisces the day when she won her Miss Universe crown

&TV’s unique dance reality show, High Fever…Dance ka Naya Tevar is all set to increase the temperature with some incredible dancing jodis from across the nation. Guiding these contestants at every step are the three judges – Lara Dutta, Ahmed Khan and Dana Alexa, who have proved their prowess in their respective fields. During the initial selection phase, the story of one of the contestant will take Lara Dutta down the memory lane reminding her of the moment she first wore the prestigious crown for the country.

As per our sources, one of the duos Ishaan & Nikita  won the hearts of the judges with their outstanding belly dance performance. Soon after their performance, Nikita confessed to Lara that she inspired her to dream of being part of beauty pageants. She also revealed that how she filled entry forms of various contests but was never allowed by her parents. But to fulfil her yearning dream she insisted Lara to walk the ramp with her on the sets of High Fever. Listening to her story, Lara went back to the day when she won the Miss Universe crown. She spoke about how nervous she was that  day to represent her country India, on a global platform.

Commenting on the same, Lara said, “There was a lot of pressure on me as Sushmita Sen won the title in 1994 and since then the nation waited for 6 years to get the crown home. The most memorable moment for me was neither the one when I heard the name of the winning country nor the one when the crown was placed but the one when every Indian in the audience started singing ‘Sare Jaha se acha Hindustan Humara’. I got goose bumps at the moment and I can never ever forget that feeling. It was beyond special for me.”
