Lee Dong Wook strives to break free from his gangster life in 'The Nice Guy'

The Nice Guy released its first teaser, teasing Park Seok Cheol’s desperate struggle to break free from crime organization.

The Nice Guy tells the story of Park Seok Cheol (Lee Dong Wook), the eldest grandson of a third-generation gangster family who strives to protect his loved ones.

As the eldest grandson of a third-generation gangster family, Park Seok Cheol lived as a gangster against his will but endured steadfastly. He earned a reputation as the organization’s ace, but his life in the organization is anything but easy.

Tired of living a life of crime, Park Seok Cheol makes up his mind to put an end to his regretful gangster life and get it back on track.

However, leaving the organization is no easy feat. The dangerous offer from Myeongsan Industries chairman Kim Chang Soo (Lee Moon Shik) — ordering Park Seok Cheol to eliminate rival organization Samjun Construction boss Kang Tae Hoon (played by Park Hoon), foreshadows a crisis. Like a cruel twist of fate, Park Seok Cheol and Kang Tae Hoon find themselves in a tense standoff. The resentment in Kang Tae Hoon’s words, “Park Seok Cheol, why did it have to be you?” stirs curiosity about the brutal clash to come between these two. Will Park Seok Cheol be able to leave behind crime and set his life straight?

The Nice Guy is coming July 18. The K-drama will be streaming on Disney+ and Hulu (select regions). Watch the teaser here
