Lee Jin Wook transforms into a ruthless perfectionist in 'Esquire'

JTBC’s Esquire has confirmed its release date for August 2.
Esquire is an office drama about Hyo Min (Jung Chae Yeon), a rookie lawyer at the Yulim Law Firm who is righteous and determined but inexperienced in social life.
Yoon Seok Hoon (Lee Jin Wook) is a partner lawyer and team leader of the litigation team at Yulim Law Firm — a competitor who pressures opponents in court with creative logic. For his flexible yet inciting strategies, he is admired by all his colleagues. But his cold demeanor makes him someone people find hard to approach.
The teaser begins with showing Seok Hoon exuding flawlessness in his handling of work, punctuality, and his perfectionist nature.
His sharp remarks, “Is ‘I’m sorry’ the latest catchphrase these days?” thrown at the rookies, and, “In the Anglo-American world, ESQ is added after a lawyer’s name as a sign of respect. If you want to be called that, act in a befitting way,” reveal his belief in principles.
As he says, “I show due respect to those who have done their part,” Yoon Seok Hoon’s charm — as someone who may appear cold on the outside but is warm on the inside — is conveyed.
The production team of Esquire commented, “Esquire aims to depict the journey of healing and recovery of people living with wounds as they go through lawsuits. The lawyers who represent these clients will also face their own pains and grow along the way. We hope for much anticipation and interest in the stories created by these characters, each with their own stories and emotions.”
Esquire is coming August 2. News about the K-drama’s global OTT is yet to come. Watch the teaser here.
