Lee Jun Young is confirmed for another K-drama in 2026.
On September 10, the production team behind the upcoming K-drama New Employee Chairman Kang confirmed that Lee Jun Young will be the main lead of the series. The idol actor will portray dual roles for the upcoming K-drama.
This will be the follow-up work of Lee Jun Young after the K-drama Pump Up the Healthy Love, which concluded in June. In the K-drama, Lee Jun Young worked alongside APINK’s Jung Eun Ji, Lee Mi Do, Lee Seung Woo, Park Sung Yun, and Lee Ji Hye.
2025 has been a busy year for Lee Jun Young. He also starred in the Netflix original K-dramas When Life Gives You Tangerines and Weak Hero Class 2. He was also one of the main leads in Melo Movie. He also made a special appearance in The Queen Who Crowns.
Lee Jun Young will also reportedly lead the upcoming 2026 K-drama Who Are You.
This month, Lee Jun Young is also set to make a return as a singer after almost five years. The idol actor will release his mini album LAST DANCE on September 22 at 6 p.m. KST.

New Employee Chairman Kang will reveal the journey of a Chairman of the company who swaps souls with an intern because of an accident. The story will be depicted from the web novel of the same name, written by Sang Yeong (the same writer of Reborn Rich).
Director Go Hye Jin (The Light in Your Eyes) and writers Kim Soon Ok (The Penthouse: War in Life) and Hyun Ji Min (Pandora: Beneath the Paradise) will join hands to create the upcoming K-drama.
Lee Jun Young will portray the role of Kang Yong Ho, the “God of Business” and chairman of Choisung Group. After an accident, he is forced to live a second life as Hwang Jun Hyeon, a soccer player who joins first-division club FC Choiseong. With his mind still sharp from his past life as a business executive, Hwang Jun Hyeon enters a conglomerate company as a new hire, using his unique skills to drive an unpredictable storyline.
According to reports, Lee Jun Young will be joined by Jung Chae Yeon and Jeon Hye Jin in the upcoming series.
New Employee Chairman Kang will have a total of 12 episodes, and it will premiere in 2026 exclusively on JTBC.
