Lee Jung Jae and Im Ji Yeon's 'Nice to Not Meet You' gears up for premiere

Nice to Not Meet You follows Im Hyeon Jun (Lee Jung Jae), a famous actor who wishes to break free from his typecast detective roles, and Wi Jeong Sin (Im Ji Yeon), a political journalist demoted to the entertainment desk while covering a corruption case.

In the first poster, Im Hyeon Jun is seen gracing the cover of a magazine under the title “Man of the Year 2025.” His smile radiates the aura of a top star. The text — “Please give me roles other than detectives” — piques curiosity about the story behind Im Hyeon Jun’s cry for such a request.

Wi Jeong Sin’s character poster portrays her as an “entertainment reporter crazy about scoops.” Even while busily writing articles, she doesn’t let go of the phone so as not to miss an exclusive. Once recognized as the ace of the political desk — so much so that she even became the youngest-ever to win the Reporter of the Year award — Wi Jeong Sin is unjustly stripped of her position while covering a corruption scandal.

A workaholic who didn’t even know the name of a popular K-pop idol or a drama title suddenly finds herself reassigned to the entertainment desk. Will Wi Jeong Sin still prove herself the ace in the world of entertainment reporting?

The production team of Nice to Not Meet You stated, “Lee Jung Jae and Im Ji Yeon return with bittersweet dynamics that will turn the entertainment world upside down.” “Viewers can look forward to their passionate performances, as they bring to life the delightfully unpredictable relationship between the nation’s [beloved] actor Im Hyeon Jun and entertainment reporter Wi Jeong Sin with witty banter.”

Nice to Not Meet You premieres on November 3. The K-drama will be streaming on Prime Video.
