Lim Se-mi and Ayaka Miyoshi Cast as Female Leads in “Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub”

Korean actress Lim Se-mi and Japanese rising star Ayaka Miyoshi are set to ignite screens in Tazza 4: The Song of Beelzebub, the next installment in the Tazza film franchise based on Heo Young-man’s iconic manhwa. The two will take on pivotal roles in this film, delivering fierce performances alongside male leads Byun Yo-han and Roh Jae-won.

In the story, Byun Yo-han plays Jang Tae-young, a man whose life spirals after being betrayed by his closest friend Park Tae-young, portrayed by Roh Jae-won. Fueled by vengeance, Jang turns to gambling to settle the score. Lim Se-mi and Ayaka Miyoshi take on crucial characters entangled in this intense tale of betrayal and revenge.

Lim Se-mi

Following her strong performances in the dramas My Dearest Nemesis and The Winning Try earlier this year, Lim Se-mi now steps into the role of Jang Tae-hee, Jang Tae-young’s older sister. Her character serves as the catalyst for the main conflict, a role that has been significantly expanded from the original work. Known as a “go-to” actress in both TV and film circles, Lim is expected to deliver a commanding performance that stands out even among the film’s stacked cast.

Ayaka Miyoshi, meanwhile, has been gaining attention in both Japanese cinema and TV. Widely regarded as a pro-Korea actress for her enthusiasm toward Korean culture, she rose to stardom with Alice in Borderland and participated in the Korea-Japan joint project Knuckle Girl. She was also awarded the Rising Star Award at the 2024 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards during last year’s Busan International Film Festival.

In her first Korean commercial film appearance, Miyoshi will portray Kaneko, a key ally in Jang Tae-young’s revenge plan. The role is expected to showcase her fierce charisma and deepen her foothold in the Korean entertainment industry.

Tazza 4 is being adapted and directed by Choi Kook-hee, known for Default and Life Is Beautiful, as well as the OTT series No Way Out: The Roulette. The film is produced by Sidus and distributed by CJ ENM. Filming began in late September and is currently in full swing, with a theatrical release scheduled for the second half of next year.
