Lisa Vanderpump Shares Positive Comments About Her Past Friendship With Kyle Richards
Lisa Vanderpump is opening up about her past friendship with her former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-star Kyle Richards.
During the April 1 episode of “Bravo’s Hot Mic” podcast, Vanderpump noted that she and Richards had a falling out during the 9th season of RHOBH, which aired in 2019. Vanderpump said while she does not think she and Richards will mend their friendship, she “miss[es] what [they] had.”
“I don’t need that person in my life at all. But I miss what we had because I think we had this unique friendship. And that’s what I enjoyed. I loved the kind of late night phone calls and how we would giggle and laugh together, and how I was always there for her because she had a very tumultuous relationship with her sisters [Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton] as we’ve seen. I was always a sounding board for her, an advocate of them, kind of always trying to keep that relationship on solid ground,” said Vanderpump during the podcast.
Vanderpump then spoke fondly of her and Richards’ “antics.”
“Kyle and I could laugh together climbing over walls, breaking in people’s hotel rooms, you know, while the cast or the cast members and getting stuck in the wall — my butt getting stuck in the wall or pushing her down the hall on the hotel trolley. I mean, we had a lot of fun,” said Vanderpump while recording the “Bravo’s Hot Mic” podcast episode.
Lisa Vanderpump Said She Feels Indifferent Toward Kyle Richards
During the “Bravo’s Hot Mic” podcast, Vanderpump said she felt “indifferent” about Richards. She made similar comments about Richards in a December 2024 interview with Access Hollywood. Vanderpump said while she feels “indifference” towards Richards, she does not ignore her during social settings.
“I’m just like, ‘Hey, hi. How are you?’” said Vanderpump to the publication.
She also said she would need to receive an apology from Richards for them to become friends again.
“It needs to start with an apology to ever reconcile,” said Vanderpump during the Access Hollywood interview.
Kyle Richards Spoke About an Interaction She Had With Lisa Vanderpump in November 2024
During a November 2024 episode of “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” hosted by Bravo producer Andy Cohen, Richards shared she had a run-in with Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd. According to Richards, Vanderpump “was friendly-ish.”
“Ken was friendlier. He gave me a hug. She doesn’t really hug now. It’s like, ‘Hello.’ At least she said ‘Hi’ this time” said Richards with a laugh.
When Cohen said, “That’s progress,” Richards agreed.
