Luke Combs Tells Fans ‘I’m Excited and I’m Back’

Luke Combs says he’s ready to get back to work.
In an Instagram post, Luke put up a video of him sitting at the steering wheel of his car wearing a Pam Tillis t-shirt. He started the video by saying “Alright guys, get ready with me to go to the studio.”
But he quickly shifted to thank fans for their loyalty, saying “All seriousness, I wanted to get on here and just say thank you guys for, you know, allowing me to have this time off with my family. I’m real excited to get to spend time with my wife and my boys.”
The singer went on to explain, “I know I’ve been kind of dark on social media for awhile,” saying that he just hasn’t posted much because he’s been busy living the dad life. “That’s just kind of what my life’s been. Being a dad.”
Combs proved it by holding up a rubber duck, saying his car is full of his kids’ toys.
“But I’m getting back in the saddle here. Getting back in the studio. I’m very excited about that.”
Luke Combs Has a Schedule Full of Festivals Ahead
About halfway through the two-minute video, Combs went on to tell fans that he’s got “some awesome festivals coming up here..” saying he’s headlining Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and playing the Newport Folk Festival, “just kinda stuff we’ve never done before that I’m real excited about.”
All those festivals are just a warm up for an upcoming tour that Combs said he’s “just finalized some of the details on” that will support a new album he’s promising.
Combs Teases Fans that Video Includes ‘Easter Egg’
Somewhere in that two-minute video, Combs might’ve given fans a hint about something.
In the caption for the post, Combs writes, “Little life update for y’all. I will be doing a headline tour next year and I am actively working on new music. There also may or may not be an Easter egg regarding new music in this video that will one day make sense.”
Is it the rubber duck? Is it the Pam Tillis t-shirt? Combs isn’t saying.
Luke Combs Has Still Been Pretty Busy
Luke Combs may feel like he’s “gone dark,” but to the rest of the world, he still looks pretty busy.
Combs closed out Stagecoach, bringing special guests Garth Brooks on to be part of his set, then joining the Backstreet Boys for their Stagecoach debut, singing “I Want It That Way” with the band.
Combs also shot a music video for his song, “Backup Plan” while he was at Stagecoach.
He’s also played the Tortuga Music Festival, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Saturday May 18 will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico for “Boots In the Park.”
