Ranveer Singh has stunned the virtual world with the video that shows him dancing inside a theatre in Paris as Salman Khan dances on screen in Sultan.
Director Ali Abbas Zafar gets emotional as he speaks on Ranveer’s enthusiastic Parisian endorsement of his film. “Ranveer is a buddy from a long way back. When I directed him in Gunday we became close friends. I know know happy he is for me for the success of Sultan. If he was here he would have joined me at the preview with my other special friends and he would danced just as hard. But he’s in Paris shooting with Aditya Chopra for Befikre. So he saw the film there in the theatre.”
The video that has gone viral shows Ranveer dancing to the song ‘404 Volt’ and ‘Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai’ inside a movie theatre in Paris screening Sultan.
Says Ali, “After Ranveer did this amazing thing in Paris he immediately called me to tell me what he did. He told me. ‘Maine Paris mein Galaxy-Gaiety(two important single theatres in Mumbai) bana diya’. Ranveer is that kind of a person. He doesn’t hold back. And he is genuinely proud of my achievement.”
It isn’t only Ranveer who danced in the aisles . Ali’s two childhood friends from Dehradun flew down from Mumbai to experience the collective gusto of the audience.
Recounts Ali, “Two of my closest friends from Dehradun Shobit and Deepak flew down to Mumbai to watch the film at Chandan theatre.Whether it’s Ranveer watching the film in Paris or Shobit and Deepak in Mumbai, their joy is the greatest gift I’ve received this Eid.”
