What About The Million Kisses In Aditya Chopra’s Film,Mr Nihalani?
The censor board seems to be in a tizzy anticipating the trouble ahead regarding the profusion of smooches shared by Ranveer Singh and Vani Kapoor in Aditya Chopra’s Befikre.
Not only has the couple been kissing away to glory in all the songs and promotional clippings, we now have a whole song devoted to the art of kissing called LabonKa Karobar where couples of every gender and age are seen smooching throughout.
Apparently the Censor Board is already wondering about how such an avalanche of kisses could possibly be given a go-ahead when earlier there were objections to two lingering liplocks between Ranbir Kapoor and DeepikaPadukone in Tamasha ,and Daniel Craig had to be told to cut it out in Spectre when he smooched for too long.
Pahlaj Nihalani the chairperson of the censor board , says the censor board will wait and see how it goes. “The song Labon Ka Karobar has not come to us . It is out on the internet and therefore falls outside our purview. As for the kisses in Befikre they have to be seen within the film’s context. As far as I know Befikre is set in Paris, the city of love where public affection is normal. However as I said, we will will look at the film and its content when it comes to us.”
