Miranda Lambert is counting down the days until another career milestone. As her official website shared, the country music star is releasing her debut album, “Kerosene,” on vinyl for the first time ever on April 25, 2025. On April 16, just a bit over a week before the release, Lambert shared an Instagram Reel of herself taking a trip down memory lane. In the Reel, the singer reacts to throwback photos of herself from around the time “Kerosene” originally debuted.

In true Miranda Lambert style, the singer lightheartedly pokes fun at herself throughout the Reel. She makes comments such as: “Oh look at her with her little mini skirt and no cellulite — rude!” while looking at the old photos. Fans flocked to the comments section, sharing how adorable and hilarious they found Lambert’s reactions to her younger self.

Lambert’s debut album, “Kerosene,” hit shelves in March 2005, and it was a success right from the beginning. As the Dallas Observer reported, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, which is a rare achievement for new artists. The album eventually went platinum.

In a video clip CMT shared from 2005, Lambert shared the funny story of finding out the album had debuted at No. 1. As Lambert explained, she was driving when she got the news and, unfortunately, her truck didn’t cooperate with the happy moment. “As soon as [my manager] said it, my truck died,” the singer shared. After getting herself safely off the road, Lambert finally had a moment to reflect on the achievement: “I could not believe it. I was shocked.”

As if the vinyl version of “Kerosene” wasn’t special enough, fans will get a little something extra from this release. As Music Row shared, the vinyl includes a previously unreleased track, “I Don’t Love Here Anymore.” The song came to be during the original album sessions, but didn’t quite make the cut for the 2005 release.

In speaking to Music Row, Lambert reflected on the significance of “Kerosene” for her life and career. “This album changed everything for me,” Lambert said. “It’s where my journey truly began, and I can hardly believe it’s been 20 years.” She later added: “I can’t wait for y’all to hear it and relive the fire that started it all!”
