Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who co-wrote the screenplay with Erik Jendresen. Joining Cruise in the next installment are Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, Mariela Garriga, Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Tramell Tillman, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Mark Gatiss, Rolf Saxon, Lucy Tulugarjuk and Angela Bassett. The film is produced by McQuarrie and Cruise, with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Chris Brock as executive producers. It hails from Paramount Pictures and Skydance.

At the moment, it’s still unclear if The Final Reckoning would be the franchise’s last installment or not. During Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning’s theatrical run, the film wasn’t able to live up to the box office expectations due to tough competition with Barbenheimer. It only garnered a worldwide gross of over $570 million against a reported budget of around $291 million.
