Close friends of the late Moonbin are coming together to release a song.

On March 28, JTBC reported that Moonbin’s friends will be releasing a tribute song on April 19, 2025, in honor of the second anniversary of his passing.

According to the report, the project brings together many of his closest friends, including his ASTRO members Cha Eun Woo, MJ, JinJin, and Sanha, as well as his younger sister Billlie’s Moon Sua. His fellow 1998-liner friends, including SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and DK as well as VIVIZ, are also said to be part of the tribute.

Additionally, Dispatch reported that MONSTA X’s I.M, Kihyun, and Minhyuk, SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Mingyu, Ungjae, Choi Yoo Jung, Kim Do Yeon, SF9’s Chani, and Stray Kids’ Bang Chan will be participating. Notably, Cha Eun Woo is said to have taken a key role in organizing the project, personally reaching out to friends.

In response to the reports, ASTRO’s agency Fantagio shared, “Moonbin’s friends will be coming together to release a new song in April.” They added, “This song will be structured as a letter from his friends to Moonbin, and we will share more details about the participating artists and the song soon.”

The agency concluded, “We hope that this song will serve as both comfort and a heartfelt gift to the fans who continue to remember and love Moonbin.”
