In the K-drama, Lee Je Ha, who once basked in the spotlight with his debut film, has since been away from the industry, having not made a single film for five years. Success and fame of his father, hailed as a master director in the film industry, cast a long shadow over Lee Je Ha’s career, and the phrase “son of a film industry legend” clings to him like a tag.

Thanks to his debut film, which showcased an artistic flair comparable to his father’s, expectations for his next project were inevitably high.

However, the world quickly forgot about Lee Je Ha after he vanished from the filmmaking scene. One day, he makes a comeback by taking the helm of a remake of his father’s film, “White Love”. His decision to return after five years in hiding through his father’s work raises intrigue.  Furthermore, as hidden wounds from Lee Je Ha’s past begin to surface, a complex narrative that navigates his relationship with his family is set to add layers of emotion to the K-drama.

Moreover, Our Movie incorporates a fresh element by depicting the journey of creating another film within the story. Namkoong Min shared, “That was what I found most interesting when I first read the script. The structure of creating another film within the story, and how that film isn’t just a prop but a tool that reflects Lee Je Ha’s emotions and life, appealed to me a lot.”

Our Movie is coming June 13, on Disney+ (select regions).
