Nawaz Pisses Off  Commercial Filmmakers

No one  can deny Nawazuddin Siddiqui his richly-earned stardom and the unique niche he has carved for himself in the Bollywood hierarchy.

Having conquered non-mainstream cinema his craving for stardom in big commercial blockbusters is becoming a bit of a joke in industry circles. Apparently nowadays when filmmakers offer him roles of characters from socio-economically challenged stratas of society he rejects these offers and insists he can play rich characters preferably wearing suits and driving expensive cars with a bevy of girls surrounding him.

So far no filmmaker has offered this outstanding actor the kind of posh upmarket role he craves for. The closest he came to stardom was in playing the villain in  Kick and [tooltip id=”88b6af99531f838ed90aed058b7d870a”][tooltip id=”c1b465420d07c688942ed18eadfd9f92″ keyword_color=”#000000″ background_color=”#ffffff”][tooltip id=”4db8f5608d45f5de7881d9bce162f4bf”]Salman Khan[/tooltip][/tooltip][/tooltip]’s sidekick in Bajrangi Bhaijan.

This apparent lack of  high-profile success seems to have enraged Nawazuddin.

In a newly recorded video interview with the  notorious AIB(All India Backchod) Nawaz, probably goaded on by a devil-may-care mood , lambasts mainstream films and filmmakers.

Decrying their propensity to be selfimportant Nawaz opted for a lewd analogy  for commercial cinema. “Woh moot-te kam hilate zyada hai(they pee less and shake their penises more). If some good shot happens they congratulate one another for hours. In non-mainstream films such shots are routine.We do them all the time and move on.”

The remark has not gone down well with commercial filmmakers.

A big-budget filmmaker who has worked with Nawaz wonders why the actor wants to make scandalous statements about commercial cinema. “Nawaz is best known for his supporting roles in Kick and Bajrangi Bhaijaan and more people are talking about him in Raees than all those serious realistc meaningful films of his put together. If he intends to make a place in commercial cinema he better guard against arrogant comments .Varna woh motenge and hilayenge aur koi dekhne wale nahin hoga(or else he can pee and shake his penis by himself with nobody to watch).”
