On the morning of April 27, images of Lucas Tse – the eldest son of Hong Kong superstars Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung, attending a concert went viral across social media. The topic quickly soared to the top of Weibo’s hot search, drawing massive attention and divided opinions.

Many netizens expressed disappointment, saying that the now 18-year-old Lucas did not inherit the outstanding visuals of his celebrity parents, describing his appearance as “ordinary” and lacking the striking qualities needed for a career in entertainment. However, others defended Lucas, praising his masculine, strong features, and asserting he has a unique charm of his own.

Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung, once hailed as a golden couple of Hong Kong’s entertainment industry, share two sons: Lucas (born in 2007) and Quintus (born in 2010). After their high-profile divorce, Cecilia obtained custody and dedicated herself fully to raising the boys.

Lucas, witnessing his parents’ separation, had once wished for their reconciliation, even pretending to be sick to arrange meetings between them. He once sweetly gifted his mother a mango-flavored cake made by Nicholas, emphasizing, “Dad said this was your favorite flavor.”
