On April 3, the first pleading trial for ADOR’s lawsuit against NJZ (NewJeans) to confirm the validity of the contract was held at the Seoul Central District Court.
ADOR Calls NJZ’s (NewJeans) Claims To Be Contradictory During Trial
During the trial, NJZ stated that the “breakdown of trust” was the main reason for contract termination. They added that because ADOR’s management has been replaced, they could not trust them anymore.
They also emphasized that not only was Min Hee Jin absent, but there was also no discussion regarding alternatives.
Amid the criticism concerning NJZ, the criticism towards former CEO Min Hee Jin is growing louder.
Many netizens felt that NJZ didn’t seem like the “victims” anymore.

- “They are just young versions of Min Hee Jin..what do you mean, victims?”
- “Where are your morals? You can’t blame everything on Min Hee Jin, seeing how much the members and their parents have done.”
- “Too late.”
- “Victims?”
- “They could’ve used the victim frame during the press conference, but now, they’ve gone too far.”
- “They are just all on the same boat, including their parents. How can they be victims when their parents are attacking other idol groups.”
Meanwhile, the court felt that this was a unique case in that most breakdowns of trust was due to no settlement being made. The next trial date is set for June 5.
