Akshay Kumar’s emotional monologue video on why the Mumbai film industry needs to be treated kindly and respectfully, has come too late.
Enraged netizens, many of them Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans, see it as a ploy make the road ready for the release of Akshay’s Diwali OTT release Laxmmi Bomb, and are now asking for a ban on the film.
Apparently Sushant fans see Akshay’s video defending the film industry’s image, as a ploy to secure an audience for Laxmmi Bomb. ‘Banlaxmmibomb’ began to trend soon after.
To be fair to Akshay, he didn’t say anything in the offending video that should incur the wrath of Sushant fans. To say that the film industry is not filled with drug addicts is taken to be defiance of justice for Sushant.Akshay has learnt it the hard way.
