Neeraj Pandey’s espionage thriller Naam Shabana has also been stopped in theatres across Pakistan. In this case, it seems the Pakistani officials woke up to the theme of international terrorism after the film was released.
A source close to the development says , “The Pakistani authorities seemed fine with the film. But a day after the film released they woke up to the fact that the theme of terrorism could reflect badly on Pakistan.”
This seems like a grievous case of killing the messenger just because you don’t like the message.
