Nia Sanchez Says She’s ‘In Awe’ of Her Body After Birth of Baby Adelaide

On June 5, “The Valley” stars Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko announced the birth of their fourth child, a girl named Adelaide. Sanchez took to Instagram to post photos holding her new bundle of joy and showing off her post-baby bod. “Let’s normalize postpartum bodies — truly, fully, unapologetically,” the 2014 Miss USA winner wrote.
Sanchez went on to express how proud she was of her body after having given birth to four healthy babies over the course of three and a half years. “And now, this body is healing, nurturing, and sustaining our baby with love and nourishment,” Sanchez wrote, adding, “I am in awe. I am grateful.”
Advocating For Better Post-Partum Education
After giving birth to baby number four, Sanchez reflected upon how much she learned throughout her pregnancies. For example, what a post-partum body actually looks like. “Did you know that most women still look several months pregnant after giving birth? I didn’t either… until I experienced it myself for the first time,” Sanchez wrote in her Instagram caption.
She added that there was a lot she didn’t know about pregnancy, birth, and the post-partum experience until she lived through it herself. Sanchez expressed that she felt there should be more information and education available for new moms, or those just beginning their fertility journeys.
“Even now, in the thick of postpartum, I’m learning things I wish I’d known earlier,” the reality star explained. She pointed to the fact that oftentimes women are sent home from the hospital after giving birth and wait six weeks for a check-up on their health and well-being. “While babies receive immediate, ongoing care, mamas are often left to figure it out on their own,” Sanchez wrote. “That has to change.”
Will Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko Have More Children?
Nia Sanchez and her husband of nine years, Danny Booko, have expanded their family quite a bit over the past several years. In addition to baby Adelaide, they share a 3-year-old son, Asher, and 23-month-old twin daughters, Isabelle and Zariah.
Whether there are more children in the couple’s future remains to be seen, but it seems that for now Sanchez is happy with the size of her family. “We had always talked about either wanting two children or four. When we skipped the line to three kids, we began discussing No. 4 shortly after,” Sanchez shared with Us Weekly. “We both come from families of four, so having four little ones of our own feels very full circle.”
