Nickelodeon's Emmy-Winning Show Receives First Update After Viral Campaign To Save It From Cancellation

Nickelodeon’s The Tiny Chef Show, which was previously canceled after its second season, has had a major update after a viral fan movement to save the series. The Tiny Chef Show was canceled in late June, and the show’s creators made a somber farewell to the series in an Instagram post. However, the creators of one of Nickelodeon’s best shows also implored fans to save the show.
Now, just over a week after The Tiny Chef Show was canceled, the show has a new update. In an Instagram post featuring the titular Cheffy singing “There’s No Business Like Showbusiness,” the series’ creators confirmed that the viral #SaveTinyChef trend “saved Tiny Chef on socials.” The show, which won both Emmy and Annie Awards, became a viral sensation after the news of its cancellation.
It is important to note, however, that The Tiny Chef Show has not officially been renewed for a third season yet. The show’s creators took to TikTok to confirm that Cheffy is “still unemployed,” and the financial success of the social media trend made it possible to film new clips for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The creators also asked fans to continue supporting the #SaveTinyChef movement.
What This Update Means For The Future Of The Tiny Chef Show
Cheffy’s Social Media Campaign Has Proven Popular & Could Still Get The Show Renewed In The Future
While the #SaveTinyChef trend has helped the show’s creators continue their work on social media, the show is not out of the proverbial woods yet. Without an official confirmation from Nickelodeon, there’s no guarantee that The Tiny Chef Show will get a third season. Despite its popularity and critical acclaim, Nickelodeon has not reversed its decision to cancel the series.
This announcement does, however, prove that The Tiny Chef Show is wildly popular. The #SaveTinyChef trend went viral, but the show’s creators have confirmed that Cheffy’s fans have donated enough money to keep the social media channels running. That’s no small feat, and if that online popularity and support continues, it may convince Nickelodeon to continue the show.

The Tiny Chef Show‘s creators have also expressed the need for ongoing support on their website. Cheffy’s social media accounts are safe for now, but the show is still in an uncertain place. There’s also no guarantee that Nickelodeon actually will continue the show regardless of its popularity. The cancellation was made for some reason, and Nickelodeon likely knew how popular The Tiny Chef Show was before making it.
Our Take On The Relative Success Of The Tiny Chef Show’s Comeback
The Support For Cheffy Is As Heartwarming As The Show, But I’m Not Confident The Series Will Continue
The main takeaway of this new update to The Tiny Chef Show is that Cheffy has incredibly devoted fans. The support The Tiny Chef Show has gotten since its cancellation is almost as heartwarming as Cheffy himself. It’s also reassuring to know that even if Nickelodeon doesn’t renew the show, Cheffy has a future on social media thanks to his supporters.
If the huge outpouring of support The Tiny Chef Show has already gotten wasn’t enough to get it a renewal, I don’t know what would be.
Heartwarming though it is, I’m also not confident that The Tiny Chef Show will get a renewal out of its viral social media trend. Social media is a fickle beast, and as more time passes, the odds of Nickelodeon reversing its decision continue to decline. If the huge outpouring of support The Tiny Chef Show has already gotten wasn’t enough to get it a renewal, I don’t know what would be.
