Nicole Kidman got candid about how she’s doing after her split from Keith Urban to a surprising star — Ariana Grande.
“I’m hanging in there,” Kidman, 58, told Grande, 32, during a conversation with Interview Magazine to celebrate Grande’s role in Wicked: For Good.

Though the interview was published on Monday, November 24, the chat took place on October 19, weeks after Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on September 30 after 19 years of marriage. The Babygirl star told Grande that she had just returned to Nashville, the home she once shared with Urban who reportedly moved out earlier this year.
Kidman told Grande, who went through a public divorce of her own in 2023, that she’d love to get dinner with her to catch up after spending plenty of time together on the awards show circuit last year. “Whenever we crossed paths last year it was such a treat,” Grande said. “All of a sudden we were at, like, six different things in a row together and I felt like I had a friend.”
Kidman also opened up about shooting Practical Magic 2, which she shot in London while going through her split from Urban. The film stars Sandra Bullock, Maisie Williams and Joey King. “I have such a strong relationship with all those women, so I felt protected and loved. It was just very, very safe,” she said.
Kidman and Urban, who share daughters Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14, married in 2006 after a year of dating. Kidman also shares daughter Bella, 32, and son Connor, 30, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, 63.
After their split, reports claimed that Urban had moved on with “another woman,” leading to speculation that he was dating guitarist Maggie Baugh. The latest reports indicate that Urban and Kidman had “heated conversations” about politics before their split.
