Marvel is inching Nova closer to the MCU with a new comic book series. After an uneventful past few years, the Richard Rider character is back as Nova is re-acclimated into Marvel storylines by way of this summer’s Imperial event. In addition to giving Nova a stunning redesign, Rider is inserted as one of the story’s key characters by partnering him with Star-Lord – and that’s not all.
Per Marvel, Imperial War: Nova – Centurion has been announced as one of two new one-shot tie-ins for the Imperial event, set for a September 10 release. The other event, called Imperial War: Exiles, centers on Professor Charles Xavier, his daughter Shi’ar Majestrix Xandra, and her resurrected mother, Lilandra. The respective cover art by Francesco Mortarino and Francesco Manna for each issue can be found below.
Nova getting a starring spotlight is a good sign for his potential to finally make his live-action debut on the big screen.
Story is developing…
Imperial War: Nova – Centurion #1 will be released by Marvel on September 10. Imperial War: Exiles #1 will be released on September 3.
