Stardom is a virus that affects its carriers in unexpected ways. This, director Remo d’Souza and his leading man Tiger Shroff discovered last week when for the song launch of number Beat pe booty the booty-ful Jacqueline Fernandez didn’t show up at all.
Apparently she told the director she was unwell. But just a few hours later she was seen chirping and bubbling over at an endorsement event.
Understandably this askew sense of commitment has not gone down well with Ekta Kapoor, the producer of Flying Jatt.
Says a source close to the project, “While Remo and Tiger have taken their leading lady’s absence at a crucial song launch in their stride, Ekta Kapoor is not one to tolerate such snub.”
Director Remo d’Souza bravely defended his leading lady’s absence. “She was there at the two other cities where the song was released, but got delayed in reaching the venue in Mumbai. She was to arrive by a chartered flight which got delayed because of the weather. And the press was waiting so didn’t want to make them wait more.”
