One of the most anticipated RPGs of the year just got a shadow-dropped demo on PlayStation 5. Lost Soul Aside has been in development for around 10 years and has quickly become a game to keep an eye on. The game finally releases tomorrow, and along with it, a surprise demo.
Discovered by Gematsu, a free demo for Lost Soul Aside is already available to download on PS5 in some regions, like Japan, New Zealand, and Australia. The demo will be available tomorrow, the release date of August 29, for other regions, including the US and UK. It’s currently unknown if the demo will be available on Steam.

An Action Surprise
The demo for Lost Soul Aside is roughly 38GB in size and is estimated to be released at midnight tonight for regions that do not yet have access to it. Saved data will also not carry over to the full game, according to the PlayStation Store description.
The demo is being described as “action-heavy” and will feature two boss fights against the Holy Knight Commander Victor and the Ancient Mecha construct. The demo should give fans a taste of what to expect in Lost Soul Aside.

Tomorrow Will Be A Huge Day For RPG Fans
Lost Soul Aside is one of the most anticipated games of 2025, due to its exciting premise and long development cycle. Players will take on the role of Kaiser (who bears a striking resemblance to Noctis from Final Fantasy 15 and Yozora from Kingdom Hearts 3), and fight in high-speed linear environments to save humanity and save his sister, Louisa. The game features combat similar to the Devil May Cry and Bayonetta games.
It has been a long wait for the game, but it’s almost over. With not a ton of gameplay or information out there, as well as no previews or reviews, there is still quite a lot of mystery regarding Lost Soul Aside. Hopefully, the full game also ends up being a pleasant surprise for fans, as this new demo surely is, too.
