“Outlander” will soon be coming to an end after more than a decade on Starz. The time-traveling romantic saga of Jamie and Claire Fraser (Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe) is currently in production on its 8th and final season, with no announcement yet about a release date. The ‘Outlander’ Prequel Will Feature Two New Epic Romances
The new Starz series, officially titled “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” will give fans not one, but two love stories in two different centuries. The focus will be on the romance of Jamie’s parents and Claire’s parents, who are connected through time because of their future children.
Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser, will be played by Harriet Slater and Jamie Roy. Their love story takes place in the rugged Highlands of 18th-century Scotland. Jeremy Irvine and Hermione Corfield will play Claire’s parents, Henry Beauchamp and Julia Moriston. Their romance takes place in England amid the brutality of World War I.
“Two love stories connected by time, loyalty, desire, passion, destiny,” the January 2025 teaser promised.

Starz has remained quiet about the release date of “Outlander” season 8. But, they finally made an announcement about “Blood of My Blood.” The prequel series will finally arrive on Friday, August 8.
Season 1 will feature 10 episodes, inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s bestselling book series. Just like with Outlander, the author has been involved in the prequel’s story as a consulting producer.
