Padmaavat Out, Sanjay Leela Bhansali-Viacom 18 All Set To Collaborate Over Another Project

The beleaguered project Padmaavat is out. And  it’s already been declared a  thundering success in spite of  the hurdles.

You would think that the film’s distressed  director would be celebrating, if not holidaying. But Sanjay Bhansali is  not in the mood to enjoy his success.

“It’s  been one helluva journey. And Sanjay doesn’t want to  think about it. He has already moved on.He is trying hard to leave the pain of Padmaavatbehind. What  kept him going through these months of nightmarish ordeal was his producers Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. They were fully supportive and  always receptive to Sanjay’s  agony and pain,” says a source close to the director.

So yes,  Sanjay Bhansali is doing next film with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.

Says  the  source, “It will be yet another big-budgeted lavish flamboyant colourful musical epic. Mr Bhansali can’t think small.Even when his films have been designed as modestly budgeted, as Black and Guzaarish were, they have turned out to be massive in scale. Ideally after Padmaavat, SanjayBhansali would like to do something smaller . But he can’t.Viacom 18 Motion Pictures is already  looking at  a budget of approximate  150-175 crorerupees for their  next film with Sanjay Bhansali.”

Incidentally the shooting of all other films had come to a grinding halt for Viacom 18 while Padmaavat was being pulled towards completion. Now it’s back to business for the production company. And that too with another film with the Padmaavat director. We can hardly wait.
