JTBC releases the second teaser for Good Boy.
Good Boy is an action comedy drama where medalists turned police officers, wearing police badges instead of medals around their necks, fight against injustice.
The teaser gives a glimpse of the athletes turned officers navigating their new lives, leaving their glorious pasts behind them.
The teaser begins by showing the boxing champion Yoon Dong Ju (Park Bo Gum) basking in glory after clinching gold. It then shifts to the daily lives of the shooting gold medalist Ji Han Na (Kim So Hyun), fencing silver medalist Kim Jong Hyun (Lee Sang Yi), wrestling bronze medalist Go Man Sik (Heo Sung Tae), and discus throw bronze medalist Shin Jae Hong (Tae Won Seok). With their glorious pasts and the spotlight fading away like time, their reality as part of a special task force is nothing short of bittersweet. Moreover, the clash of personalities among these individuals, once champions in their respective fields, coming from different sports backgrounds, is bound to create some chaos.
The leader of the Special Violent Crimes Unit, Go Man Sik calls Yoon Dong Ju a “mutt” and vents his frustration. Despite taking on the responsibility of taking charge of him, who was demoted to a police officer after causing a series of incidents, Go Man Sik grumbles, “Why do I have to take care of him?” However, he can’t help but flinch in front of the boxing gold medalist’s powerful fists.
Thus, the cheerful Yoon Dong Ju and grumbling Go Man Sik, who has become his “accident handler,” have a bickering relationship, adding to their comedic dynamics.
Next, Shin Jae Hong, wearing a giant Pororo costume, is seen standing on the street. He works as a traffic safety assistant to support his family. To earn promotion points, he joins the Special Violent Crimes Unit.
On the other hand, Kim Jong Hyun meets Yoon Dong Ju once again as his eternal rival. When Yoon Dong Ju asks, “When did you start hating me that much?” Kim Jong Hyun firmly responds, “I hate your smile.”
As the teaser comes to a close, Yoon Dong Ju once again grits his mouthpiece when facing injustice. With determination, he says, “Run away if you can. Anyone who steps into my round is going down.”
Thus, Yoon Dong Ju, Ji Han Na, Kim Jong Hyun, Go Man Sik, and Shin Jae Hong come together to use their athletic skills against injustice.
