Park Hyung-sik Goes Solo, Launches One-Man Agency with Longtime Manager

On May 15, multiple broadcast insiders confirmed that Park Hyung-sik is currently in discussions to establish his own agency alongside his longtime manager, marking a new chapter in the actor’s professional journey. Their bond, forged over more than a decade, includes shared years as idols and roommates during ZE:A’s early days, and later continued through Park’s acting rise.
Even after the expiration of his contract with P&Studio, which his manager helped create, the duo remained close. While Park reportedly received numerous offers from established agencies, he chose to prioritize loyalty and trust, opting to build something new with the person who’s supported him from the very beginning.

This move comes at a career high point for Park, who recently garnered praise for his performance as Seo Dong-joo in SBS’s Buried Hearts, a role widely seen as a breakthrough in his acting career. He’s already lined up to star in KBS2’s upcoming drama Twelve, continuing his momentum into the second half of the year.

Park Hyung-sik, formerly a member of idol group ZE:A, has long been a subject of public fascination beyond his performances. Often dubbed a “golden spoon star,” rumors about his chaebol background have persisted, especially after ZE:A member Kwanghee once joked on SBS’s Strong Heart that Park had 16 million KRW in his bank account as a trainee. Park later clarified that the money came from his mother saving his New Year’s gifts, and denied rumors about his father being an executive at a German luxury car brand.
As he takes this bold step into independence, all eyes are now on Park Hyung-sik to see how he will navigate the entertainment world not just as a leading actor—but as his own boss.
