Park Min-young’s Stunning Career Move: From Actress to K-Beauty Boss in Perfect Glow

Actress Park Min-young is stepping into a new role not in a drama, but as the “beauty manager” of a New York K-beauty salon in tvN’s upcoming reality show Perfect Glow.

Premiering November 8 at 10:50 p.m. KST, Perfect Glow is promoted as the first global K-beauty reality program, following the success of K-pop and K-food in spreading Korean culture abroad. The show chronicles a star-studded team of Korean beauty experts opening a salon called “Danjang” in Manhattan, taking on the challenge of introducing authentic K-beauty techniques to American clients.

Leading the team is Ra Mi-ran as the salon’s charismatic CEO, while Park Min-young transforms into the consulting manager a polished, detail-oriented role perfectly suited to her elegant image. Joining them are Joo Jong-hyuk as the ever-diligent assistant manager, renowned hairstylist Cha Hong, and celebrated makeup artists LeoJ and PONY, forming what tvN calls the “K-Beauty Dream Team.”

“From leadership and humor to expertise, this team embodies everything that makes K-beauty inspiring,” the production team teased in the preview.

The first teaser, released on October 31, captures the Danjang team’s first day at work from navigating New York’s unique customer culture to overcoming unexpected language barriers. The clip hints at both laughter and tension as the team adapts to a foreign environment, making viewers wonder: Can K-beauty truly conquer Manhattan?

Beyond showcasing makeovers, the series promises visual delight through before-and-after transformations inspired by clients’ “wish lists” and infused with Korean beauty philosophy. Fans can also expect Ra Mi-ran’s modern hanbok collection and Park Min-young’s chic styling, reinforcing the idea of K-beauty as both aesthetic and cultural artistry.

With its global scope and dynamic cast, Perfect Glow aims to spotlight the power of K-content merging entertainment with authentic craftsmanship in beauty. As Park Min-young continues to build her brand beyond acting, her poised presence as a “K-beauty symbol” in this new format is set to capture both domestic and international audiences.
