Payal Ghosh Refuses To Apologize To Richa Chadha

 In a startling twist to  the  Richa  Chadha versus Payal Ghosh defamation case, Ms Ghosh   has left her lawyer red-faced and  helpless  by refusing to apologize to Ms Chadha.

 Ms Ghosh has tweeted her refusal to  apologize, stating,  “I am not apologizing to anyone. I have not wronged nor have I given a wrong statement about anyone. I just said what @anuragkashyap72 told me. #SorryNotSorry.”

The battle  started when   Ms Ghosh dragged Ms Chadha’s name  in her allegations of sexual  misconduct  against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.

Ms Chadha responded with  a defamation case.

On  Wednesday  Ms Ghosh’s lawyer  put out  a statement  saying she was ready to apologize to Ms  Chadha  unconditionally.

This is  perhaps  the  first time   that a client in a celebrated case  has gone publicly against her lawyer’sstatement. It would be interesting to see if Ms Ghosh’s lawyer would continue or quit the case, and  where  this  case would lead  to now. If Ms Chadha pursues the case to  its legal conclusion  it  would be very hard for Ms Ghosh to justify her slanderous statement  against Ms Chadha in  her video accusing Anurag  Kashyap  of  vile behavior.
