New Delhi, February 20,2018 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the star attraction at this year’s Global Business Summit on February 23-24 in Delhi. The PM will address the fourth edition of GBS on the evening of February 23, 2018 with central theme as “New Economy, New Rules”.  As the locus of power across the globe shifts, we are witnessing an old order giving way to the new guard. With the emergence of a New Economy defined by New Rules, conventional wisdom is being turned on its head. The 2018 edition of GBS will unfold the myriad contours of the world economy along with defining the factors that will lead the Indian economy to newer heights.

GBS will serve as a platform for global leaders to deliberate on issues whose ripple effects will be felt far and wide. The star-studded galaxy of speakers includes eminent names such as Honourable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi,  Shah Rukh KhanDonald Trump Jr., Trustee, Trump Organization; Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO, Uber; Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Coal, Government of India; Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road, Transport & Highways, Government of India; and Andy Xie, Independent Economist.

At the first GBS in January 2015, the Prime Minister had dared Indian business leaders to dream of a $20 trillion economy. This year too honourable Prime Minister is expected to deliver a powerful message of inspiration this year as well. More so because India is an island of stable prosperity in an increasingly uncertain global environment. It is also a rare example of a major economy where policymakers are taking big bold decisions to speed up growth.

In the past, the summit has seen a confluence of over 3,900 delegates from across Canada, USA, Russia, Belgium, Great Britain, Greece, Catalonia, Israel and more. In GBS 2018, expect no less than high-level delegations from USA, Russia, Italy, Mexico, Oman, Poland, Malta, Bangladesh, Georgia, and Slovakia, among others. The 4th edition of GBS will see participation from over 2,000 delegates across the 2 days of the event. GBS 2018 will have policy makers as well as visionaries along with industry leaders offer a shared vision and direction for the world economy.
