Positively Yours has released its official stance regarding Yun Ji On stepping down from the upcoming K-drama.
On September 18, the production team of Positvely Yours announced, “We will delete and refilm all of Yun Ji On’s scenes and are currently searching for an actor to replace him in the K-drama.”
It was recently revealed that Yun Ji On has been booked for driving under the influence. He was reportedly caught riding a motorcycle that did not belong to him while intoxicated. Following his confession and apology for the incident, he has stepped down from his role in the upcoming K-drama, Positively Yours. It was also noted that Yun Ji On is currently a free agent, as his contract with his agency, IEUM HASHTAG, expired this past July.
Yun Ji On has promised to fully cooperate with the investigation and accept any punishment he receives. He stated that he will not make excuses for his crime and vows not to repeat the offense.
Positively Yours will showcase the story of a woman who becomes pregnant after a one-night affair with a stranger. The father’s baby happened to be the company’s chairman, and he demanded marriage. The story will be depicted from the webtoon of the same name by Lee Jeong.
Choi Jin Hyuk, Oh Yeon Seo, and SISTAR’s Kim Da Som will lead the upcoming K-drama.
Yun Ji On was supposed to portray the role of Lee Min Wook, the childhood friend of Jang Hui Won (Oh Yeon Seo), the female lead. The actor had already participated in the filming, which was supposed to continue this week. It has also been revealed that the K-drama is nearly halfway finished with production and was originally set to be completed in December.
Positively Yours will reportedly premiere in the first half of 2026.
