Tha fallout between the makers of John Abraham and Diana Penty starrer Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran is getting intense by the day. Now, an FIR has been filed against the actor and his production company in the Khar police station after a criminal complaint was filed by Prernaa Arora’s KriArj Entertainment.
A statement released by KriArj read, “FIR has been registered by Khar Police Station against John Abraham and his company JA Ent after criminal complaint was filed by Kriarj Entertainment for commission of various criminal offences including cheating , breach of trust , fraud , misappropriation of funds and copyright infringement due to John and his company duping KriArj Entertainment out of the crores of rupees invested by KriArj Entertainment towards the production of the film ‘Parmanu’.”
Earlier, in a notice published in a leading daily, John’s production house had alleged that the “Delay in payments/non-payments (from KriArj), have caused delays in the post production work after the film’s principal shoot was completed by us in time and on schedule last year.”
Soon after John Abraham made it official that his production company JA Entertainment has parted ways with co-producers KriArj Entertainment over material breaches, Prerna told DNA After Hrs, that John did not deliver the film to her on the committed date and “JA Entertainment kept making unreasonable demands for money, which were outside the scope of their initial understanding with us. I’m shocked that they are trying to wriggle out of a legally-binding contract.”
Those who’re uninitiated, John Abraham’s Parmanu was earlier slater to hit the theatres in December 2017 but it got delayed to avoid an apparent clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. Later, the film was to clash with Anushka Sharma’s Pari, but again it was pushed to avoid the clash, since KriArj was also co-producing Pari. Now, amidst the fallout between its makers, Parmanu is slated to release on May 4.
