Five days after its release, Prime Video’s new thriller mystery show that feels like Big Little Lies has taken the number one spot on the streaming charts. Based on the titular bestselling book by Liane Moriarty, the show Big Little Lies brought the audience into the mysterious world of Monterey, California, a wealthy beachfront town. It showed that even the most perfect-looking families have betrayals and lies under the surface. Prime Video recently adapted a book by E. Lockhart that has a similar ambiance, and it has become a hit.

We Were Liars only released on June 18, but Flix Patrol reveals that the show has already taken the #1 spot on Prime Video’s top shows list, both in the United States and worldwide. The show’s success proves two things. One, that the messy lives of the wealthy elite still intrigue the general public, and, two, fans will always invest in a good mystery.
