Priyanka Chopra Goodbye To Bollywood?

Bowing out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production of  the Sahir Ludhianvi bio-pic  is a  sure sign of Priyanka Chopra bidding a gradual adieu to  Bollywood.

Priyanka , whose career  in  Hollywood and on American television  is going great guns, had actually shown an impressive keenness to be in the Sahir bio-pic.

Says a  source close to the development, “She was to play Amrita Pritam who had a very special place in Sahir Ludhianvi’s life. She was so excited about the project that she wanted to co-produce it with Bhansali. But when he  expressed an  inability to let her come on board as a producer she began to lose interest  in the project. Finally she  told Bhansali she would rather  not do a film where she was not the lead.As if she  was  the lead in Baywatch(her Hollywood debut).”

The feeling in Bollywood  is that Priyanka is slipping  out of Bollywood.

“She  has  signed no  film in Bollywood . She  has completed two films in Hollywood. She  is working on one Hollywood project at the moment .And she has signed one more project in Hollywood.We don’t see any sign of  Priyanka doing  a Bollywood film in the near future,” says a filmmaker friend of the actress.

Priyanka’s last Bollywood release was Prakash Jha’s flop  JaiGangaajal.
