Priyanka Chopra To Lose Bhansali Film For The West?

It seems our Desi girl is no more inclined to be that desi. Lately Priyanka Chopra has been spending more time  in the US than in India, and rightly so. Her career in the West is on the upswing. Or so she, and we, would like to believe, what with Quantico and Baywatch happening one after the other.

Whatever the status of Ms Chopra’s American stardom, in India she is definitely causing a certain amount of panic and peeve by her perpetual absence of leave.

In recent months she  failed  to be physically present to promote two very important Hindi films Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and Prakash Jha’s Jai Gangaajal. While the former managed without her because of Ranveer Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s presence, Jai Gangaajal where she was the only star attraction suffered by her absence.

Now Priyanka is likely to lose the plum role of author litterateur Amrita Pritam in the bio-pic on poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi entitled Gustakhiyan.

Apparently Priyanka has expressed  her “helplessness” regarding her presence in India to shoot for the project.

Says a source, “Priyanka may have to opt out of Gustakhiyan .She is unable to work out her dates in India because of her commitments in the US. She may have to be replaced.”

Sanjay is apparently considering Kangana Ranaut.
