While Priyanka Chopra is undoubtedly a global star , the less said about her career in Hollywood, the better. All her attempts at grabbing stardom in Hollywood have hit unexpected deadends. From Baywatch to A Kid Like Jake to Isn’t It Romantic, Hollywood has offered only marginal roles to our desi girl.
To compound her career woes, Priyanka’s big ambitious Hollywood project Cowboy Ninja Viking co-starring Chris Patt is as good as shelved. This is the big Hollywood project for which Priyanka opted out of the Salman Khan starrer Bharat, thereby offending many filmmakers in Mumbai who felt she was taking them for granted for the sake of a career abroad.
But now it seems Priyanka has decide to re-consolidate her Bollywood career with a bang. She has apparently met SanjayLeela Bhansali the visionary who cast her in Bajirao Mastani. The two are all set to collaborate over a massive Bollywood project which would feature Priyanka in an author-backed role.
Priyanka’s last author-backed outing in Bollywood Jai Gangaajal was a disaster.
Interestingly Bhansali’s favourite actress Deeepika Padukone plans to return to cinema with a film by Bhansali’s arch-rivalKaran Johar while Priyanka Chopra who has never been a favourite with Johar(a certain Mr Khan can explain why) is all set to take over the Bhansali space.
