Rajneesh Duggal On Taking Bajirao Mastani Online For A  Stage Version!

Sanjay  Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani will now be a musical stage play featuring Rajniesh  Duggal as Bajirao .Two  Kathak dancers, Shailja Nalwade and Anusua Majumdar, play  Bajirao’s wives Kashibai and Mastani.

Says Rajniesh, “It’s a musical  with  the songs taken from Sanjay  Bhansali’s film. The stage  version  with be  directed by Maitreyee Pahari and mentored by Pandit Birju Maharaji, based on Bhansaliji’s  film  Bajirao Mastani.I’m playing the lead role of Bajirao.I  have learnt the ‘Chhao’ dance form for the role.”

The stage  version  of  Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s  Bajirao Mastani  will be  a full-blowm musical.

Confides  Rajniesh, “It   will have a few songs from the film too .It will show the  journey of Kashibai, Bajirao and Mastani  imaged  through  some amazing dances and scenes.I took this up in January and started rehearsals in February  for this show.It was to be held in April-end earlier .The plan was to travel the world with it .But I guess it will be go online now.”
