Ranbir Kapoor As Raj Kapoor?

Yes, hard as it may be to believe, plans are afoot to cast Ranbir Kapoor  as his own illustrious grandfather in a  film that Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor will produce for the family’s illustrious banner R K Films.

Says a source very close to the Kapoor family, “It is the Kapoor  khandaan’s most cherished dream project. They’ve wanted to make a bio-pic on Raj Saab for the longest time. Until Ranbir became an actor they couldn’t think of anyone who could fit the bill.Now the project is finally  gaining shape.”

Indeed there is no actor more qualified to play Raj Kapoor than Ranbir.

Says a member of the Kapoor clan, “Ranbir has been fascinated with Raj Kapoor for the longest time.He has seen every work of Raj Saab repeatedly and knows them inside-out. The illustrious R K  Films banner has been dormant for years now. Randhir and Rishi Kapoor would like to revive the banner now, with the Raj Kapoorbio-pic.The brothers are in agreement. Ranbir is the best person to play Raj Saab.”
