Ranveer Singh Adi Chopra Bond Better Than The Rest

There are two filmmakers Ranveer Singh owes his career to. They are Sanjay LeelaBhansali and Aditya Chopra.

Now that Ranveer Singh is done with Bajirao Mastani, he is fully into doing quality-time work with his mentor and guide Adi Chopra in Befikre.

Apparently during the Paris spell of shooting for Chopra’s Befikre Ranveer got even closer to Adi.

In fact much of the passionate romance between Ranveer and Vani Kapoor in the film is inspired by the director’s own relationship with Rani Mukherjee.

Says a source, “Of all his protégés at Yash Raj,  namely Sushant Singh Rajput, AyushmannKhurrana, Arjun Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Maneesh Sharma, Parineeti Chopra,etc, it isRanveer than Adi is closest to, so much so that when Adi decided to make his most intimate intense and passionate love story Befikre he insisted on Ranveer as the lead, although it meant waiting for almost a year for Ranveer to complete Bajirao Mastani.”

Apparently Ranveer is back to his roots at Yash Raj full-throttle.

Says a source, “Ranveer started at Yash Raj. Then in-between he got busy with other assignments. Now he again spends a  lot of time with Adi.It’s like the good old times again.”

Says a source, “Recently Ranveer paid an on-stage tribute to Yash Raj Films.Every number selected for the homage at a recent awards function  was carefully handpicked by Ranveer. He wanted Adi to be present at the awards to see the tribute. But Adi doesn’t attend any awards function. He never has. He never will. He was not willing to make an exception even for his favourite protégé.”

Incidentally Adi Chopra has never been seen at any popular awards functions.He is the pioneer of the rapidly-growing brigade of  no-show  Bollywood personalities at awards functions. These include Aamir Khan, Ram Gopal Varma, Prakash Jha and Kangna Ranaut.Vishal Bhardwaj has also decided to stay away from awards functions.
