RANVEER SINGH AT INDIA TODAY CONCLAVE 2019

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh mesmerised the audience at the India Today Conclave 2019, took the stage with a bang singing ‘Apna Time Ayega’ from his newly released movie Gully Boy. He opened about the ban on Pakistani artistes in India and shared his happiness about Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s returen to India. “Abhinandan is atrue hero” He said , “Today is a good day but let’s not forget what happened recently,” referring to the Phulwama attack that took place on Februray 14, same day Gully Boy hit the big screen. Ranveer expressed, “ We are rejoicing , I am elated , I am happy on the release of Gully Boy . But I was quite disturbed on seeing the imagery that came out. “ He further added “ I feel extremely disillusioned and angry and frustrated as a layman.”

On’83 film

When he heard the actual story behind the ’83 team-who these guys were, where they were coming from and what they went and achieved he said, “ I realised the magnitude of what they had achieved . They actually believed they could win.” “It will be an unbelievable film.”

Singh and other Bollywood actors had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed their line of thoughts. He conveyed that the PM pass on the message to the us (young actirs) that if you can definitely try and incorporate the message of inclusivity and one India somewhere in your films. “I was only happy to report to him that my next film is 1983 where guys from the west, north, south , it was truly team India. He mentioned it was a good meeting.

Singh did mention, “I work with honesty.” On being asked about his mistakes, Singh said, “In an attempt to entertain somebody or get arise out of somebody or give public a piece of me, I may go wrong sometime.” He also accepted, “I have to curb my enthusiasm.”

Singh dated Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone for six years before they tied nuptial knot last year. He said, “woh wife bana diya. Yeh hota hai achievement. Tera bhai jaisa koi hard-ich nahi hai” He said he nurtured , cultivated the relations because he knew he just wanted her. Every relation has highs and low, has phases but the single focus was to make it work regardless any difficukt phase He said, “I have seen her through different phases, grown together . She is the kindest, magical soul and I am the luckiest guy in the world.”
