Raveena Tandon Is Not Playing Indira Gandhi

There  are  reports  all over the internet suggest Raveena Tandon  will play  the  former Prime  Minister  Indira Gandhi.

But sources  close to the project dismiss this line of thought as  nothing but a figment of  the imagination.

A source very close to the  project  informs this writer that the similarities between Raveena Tandon ’s character and Mrs Gandhi are skin-deep. “They are  both powerful politicians. But that’s  it.  We are  not interested  in getting  into  politics in our cinema. Yash is very clear  on  doing away  with  references to Indira  Gandhi.”

Interestingly R Raveena Tandon ‘s  contemporary  Manisha Koirala was all set to play India Gandhi  in a film directed by N Chandra.Manisha had even  got her prosthetic  nose for her part. But that  project never   happened. We  now hear of Vidya Balan  playing Mrs Gandhi in a webseries  to be  produced  by her husband Sidharth  Roy Kapur.
