Reba McEntire Celebrates Career Milestone With a Sweet Throwback

Reba McEntire has been a fixture in the country music world for decades, and she has plenty of career anniversaries to celebrate. In June 2025, her ninth studio album, “Have I Got a Deal For You,” turns 40. In honor of this big career milestone, McEntire took to Instagram with a sweet throwback video from the 1980s.
In the video, McEntire sings the album’s title track while wearing a shimmery dress and massive belt buckle — perfectly on-brand for female country singers at the time. Fans flooded the video’s comments section with heart emojis, with several saying that “Have I Got a Deal For You” is among their favorite McEntire albums.
The Album Represented a First for McEntire
“Have I Got a Deal For You” may not be McEntire’s most successful album ever, but it does represent a milestone for the singer. As American Songwriter shared, the album’s second single, “Only In My Mind,” was the first song McEntire released that she wrote 100% independently. Although the singer has co-written multiple tracks over the years, this was her first attempt at going it along in the songwriting department.
Even more interestingly, this song remains the only single McEntire has released that didn’t have a co-writer. As Billboard reported, “Only In My Mind” was a hit for the singer at the time, peaking at number five on the Hot Country Songs chart.
The Singer’s Newest Single is Starting a Whole New Music Era
Forty years and countless songs later, McEntire still shows no signs of slowing down. In May 2025, she surprised CMAs viewers with the debut of a new single, “Trailblazer,” alongside Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson. This powerhouse trio tore up the stage, and the song quickly gained traction with fans. Soon, it became a milestone of its own for McEntire.
As MCA reported, “Trailblazer” is now McEntire’s biggest streaming debut to date, with a staggering 2.6 million streams in just its first week. It looks like the “Fancy” singer will now have another anniversary to celebrate in upcoming years, adding to a long list of firsts and successes from across her storied career.
