It looks the performing maestro Om Puri is far from tired. Rather than hang up his boots, Om continues to conquer new peaks, the latest being a plum role in Kabir Khan’s Tubelight.
Speaking about his role just before he left to join the crew of Tubelight in Ladakh Om said, “In Tubelight I play a Muslim Gandhian . The film is set during the India-China war in 1963. I have a very interesting sympathetic character. If you remember I had played a sympathetic liberal Pakistani mullah in Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. It’s good to be cast in characters with unexpected shades of empathy.Kabir knows how to use actors in the best way possible.”
About shooting with Salman, Om says, “I had done Dabangg with him. Then we did Bajrangi Bhaijaan ,nowTubelight. Salman has evolved as an actor.”
