“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Crystal Kung Minkoff is sharing why she would consider returning to the series.
During the April 15 episode of her podcast “Humble Brag,” co-hosted by “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey, Minkoff noted that her contract for RHOBH was not renewed after the show’s 13th season. Minkoff said Bailey convinced her she could eventually return to the Bravo series. She referenced that Bailey came back to RHOA as “a friend of” for the show’s current 16th season after leaving the series as a full-time star in 2021.
“Because I’m with [Bailey] everyday and all day, and she’s the queen of like coming back as ‘a friend’ is awesome, I’m open. But today’s not the day. Still. Like today’s not the day. Because it was not that long ago [since I left]. It’s not even a year ago,” said Minkoff during the podcast episode.
Minkoff also said she “regret[s] not enjoying the experience as much as [she] could have” during her three seasons on RHOBH.
“I took it too seriously. I took it too personally. And that’s my fault,” said Minkoff.
Minkoff said if she were to return to RHOBH she “would totally actively work hard to enjoy it more.”
She also said she was happy to return to her normal life after her RHOBH departure.
“My kids missed me. My friends missed me. And I missed them equally. If not more,” said Minkoff.
Crystal Kung Minkoff Spoke About Leaving RHOBH
While recording the April 2025 episode of “Humble Brag,” Minkoff spoke about leaving RHOBH. According to Minkoff, production wanted her to embellish aspects of her life for what would have been her RHOBH season 14 storyline.
“It was not that interesting to them. But it could have been embellished. And I wasn’t going to do that. That’s not my personality. It’s how exploitive can I be about what’s happening in my life. That’s really what it is. And I just don’t have that,” said Minkoff on her podcast.
Minkoff made similar comments during an October 2024 episode of “Humble Brag.” She said she had “a lot of conversations” about her life with production before season 14 started filming.
“It felt like it was stretching the truth for me to make a story that didn’t really make sense. And I was like, ‘Okay, I guess I could do that. But then what I get worried … about then it becomes, like, your reality and the audience chimes in,’” said Minkoff on her podcast. “And then I was like, ‘Well, then it’s going to start getting, like, really convoluted to where this is now my reality over here. But actually this was the reality. I was willing to go here, I don’t want to go here.’”
Crystal Kung Minkoff Said She Spoke to Garcelle Beauvais Following her 2025 RHOBH Exit
During the April 2025 “Humble Brag” episode, Minkoff said she spoke to Garcelle Beauvais following her 2025 RHOBH exit. Beauvais, who joined the cast during its 10th season, announced she was leaving the series in an April 2025 Instagram upload.
Beauvais shared her thoughts about Minkoff’s exit from RHOBH in a May 2024 interview with Parade. She said she was “disappointed” about her former co-star’s departure.
“I feel like she’s finally getting her voice. And decisions are made from the higher ups. But I’m sad. But we’re still going to be friends,” said Beauvais to the publication.
