The most marriageable couple in Bollywood has now joined hands to produce films. Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have together launched a production house named Pushing Buttons, which seems an apt title considering both the actors have constantly displayed an adventurous spirit as actors.
Their debut film as co-producers is entitled Girls Will Be Girls directed by a young female filmmaker Shuchi Talati whose short film Mae & Ash about an open relationship fetched her good critical responses. Girls Will Be Girls is described as a “a coming-of-age, sexual awakening film set in a conservative boarding school in India.”
While it is not clear yet if Richa Chadha or her boyfriend have an acting role to play in their production, a friend of Richa Chadha does reveal that she would have an ACTIVE to play in their production.
“Knowing Richa she wouldn’t have turned producer unless she was sure of being hands-on. Both Ali and Richa’s are passionate about cinema and promoting new talent,”says the friend.
One also gathers that all their joint productions need not feature them as actors.
“The idea is to nurture new talent that may not have access to filmmaking through normal mainstream routes,” says the source.
Richa Chadda is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films. After debuting with a bit role in the comedy film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), she worked as a supporting actress in several films.
