Ro Woon confirmed to start military duty in July!

Former SF9 member and actor Ro Woon is confirmed to enlist in the military this July. 

On May 27, media outlets reported that Ro Woon is set to begin his military duties and take a hiatus in the industry this coming July. According to reports, Ro Woon will complete his basic military training and will be assigned to his unit to fulfill his mandatory military service as an active-duty soldier in the Army. He will enter the military training camp on July 21.

Ro Woon’s agency, FNC Entertainment, shared its official statement regarding the enlistment reports. They shared, “Ro Woon is confirmed to join the military on July 21. He will undergo basic military training and be deployed as an active-duty soldier in the Army.”

Before Ro Woon begins his military service, he will first hold his solo fan meeting Before Blooming” on May 31 at Kwangwoon University in Seoul. 

Although Ro Woon is starting his military duties, his fans won’t have to wait long to see him again, as he is set to star in the upcoming Disney+ original K-drama The Murky Stream with Shin Ye Eun, Park Seo Ham, Park Ji Hwan, Jeon Bae Soo, and Choi Gwi Hwa. 

Ro Woon was introduced to the public as a member of the K-pop boy group SF9 in 2016, the same year he embarked on his acting career. In 2023, he decided to leave SF9 to focus on his solo career. He made his acting debut in the K-drama Click Your Heart alongside other FNC artists. 

The idol-actor’s first leading role in a 2019 K-drama marked a turning point, as he has since consistently starred as the main lead after beginning his acting career in supporting roles.

Ro Woon is known for being part of the K-dramas The Matchmakers, Destined with You, Tomorrow, The King’s Affection, She Would Never Know, Extraordinary You, School 2017, and more.
