Ro Woon to appear in a Japanese movie as his last project before military enlistment

Ro Woon is finally debuting on the big screen.

On October 6, it was officially confirmed that Rowoon is finally starring in his first-ever movie. According to reports, Rowoon will join the cast of the upcoming Japanese movie Eiga Last Man – FIRST LOVE- before he enlists in the military.

Eiga Last Man – FIRST LOVE- will adapt its story from the 2023 Japanese drama The Last Man: The Blind Profiler. The story will revolve around Hiromi Minami, a blind FBI special agent, and Shintaro Godo, who works as a detective at the First Investigative Division. The two will work together to solve numerous difficult cases.

Fukuyama Masaharu (Hiromi Minami), Oizumi Yo (Shintaro Godo), Nagase Ren, Imada Mio, Matsuo Satoru, and Oku Tomoya will lead the upcoming film.

The upcoming film will be the next work of writer Kuroiwa Tsutomu. He is best known for writing the works Zen Ryoiki Ijo Kaiketsu Shitsu, Golden Kamuy, Kingdom 1-4, and more.

In the movie, Ro Woon will portray the role of Clyde Yoon. He is an FBI special agent like Hiromi Minami.

The producer shared the reason for casting Ro Woon, “Clyde Yoon is a strong-willed character who directly rivals Minami. Rowoon, with his unique charm and exceptional talent, is the only actor capable of truly capturing this challenging role.”

Ro Woon also shared his insights about joining the upcoming film, “Taking on this Japanese project was a major new career challenge, but since my goal has always been to act in a different language and culture, I was thrilled. I hope viewers will follow my ambitious and confident character, Clyde Yoon, and observe his development throughout the film.”

Eiga Last Man – FIRST LOVE- will be released in Japan on December 24.

Ro Woon is currently starring in the Disney+ original K-drama The Murky Stream alongside Shin Ye Eun, Park Seo Ham, Park Ji Hwan, Jeon Bae Soo, and Choi Gwi Hwa.

October 27th marks the start of Rowoon’s military service.
