Rod Stewart Forced to Pull Out of Vegas Show at the Last Second

Sir Rod Stewart was set to take the stage for a performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Sunday, June 1, as part of his Las Vegas residency, but the event was cancelled shortly before.

Stewart posted on his Instagram story, letting fans know that he we unable to perform that night.

“I am sorry to inform you that I’m not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10,” Stewart wrote on Instagram (via People). “Your tickets will be valid for the new date.”

The Colosseum released a statement shortly after, confirming the news.

“We are sorry to inform that due to illness, Sir Rod Stewart’s show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10,” the venue wrote on Instagram. “Your tickets will be valid for the new date.”


Rod Stewart Set to Perform at the 2025 Glastonbury Festival

After postponing his Vegas show so abruptly, questions arose about whether the 80-year-old singer would be able to perform at this year’s Glastonbury festival on Sunday, June 29, as he is set to take part in the Legends portion of the show.

Billboard reports that Stewart is set to reunite with his former Faces bandmate, Ronnie Wood, at the iconic festival.

Along with Stewart, Glastonbury will feature performances by The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo, as well as Alanis Morissette, Gracie Abrams, Charli XCX, Doechii, Noah Kahan, and so many others.

The festival is set to begin on Wednesday, June 25th, and will conclude on Sunday, June 29th.

Rod Stewart Received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards

At the 2025 American Music Awards on May 27th, Stewart received the  Lifetime Achievement Award. He followed it up with an incredible performance, which included his 1988 hit “Forever Young.”

However, the entire moment was made better when the singer was surprised by five of his eight children, who took the stage to present him with the award.
